【公演へのメッセージ】イリア・グリンゴルツ、シャリーノのカプリースを日本初演！
イリア・グリンゴルツ（ヴァイオリン）は1998年、弱冠16歳でパガニーニ国際ヴァイオリン・コンクールにおいて史上最年少での優勝を飾り、ヴィルトゥオージックな演奏で聴衆を魅了し続けています。新たなチャレンジに向け探求を続けるヴァイオリニストは、2月13日にトッパンホールでシャリーノの新しいカプリースを日本初演いたします。それに際しメッセージが届きました。
It is very thrilling for me to give the Japanese Premiere of the new Capricci by Salvatore Sciarrino, together with the “old” Capricci that he wrote for Salvatore Accardo. Both of these pieces are very special to me. Indeed, it was my dream to commission the new work from Salvatore Sciarrino and I’m very lucky that he wrote for me just last year.
It’s a very special sound world that Sciarrino inhabits, a universe really. Just the other day, as I was playing the old Capriccio to a friend of mine, she thought there were actually many instruments involved, but indeed it’s just the violin, a kind of sound that he creates this one instrument, just nothing you have heard before. It’s a very special way of, very unique way of exploring the sound world. This instrument is particular but also generally, when you hear Sciarrino, you know it’s him.
So really thrill to do it next week!

来週トッパンホールで演奏できますことをとても心待ちにしています。
特にシャリーノが1976年に作曲したカプリースと一緒に、新しいカプリースを日本初演できますことにワクワクしています。二曲とも私にとってとても大事な曲です。シャリーノに曲を書いてもらうことは夢でしたが、それが昨年かなったことは本当に幸運なことです。
シャリーノがいる音楽の世界はとても特別なもので、まさに宇宙といえます。先日、友人に1976年のカプリースを演奏する機会があったのですが、彼女はこの曲を聞いてたくさんの楽器が含まれているように聞こえたと言っていました。しかし実際にはヴァイオリン一挺からくりだされるもので、他では聞けない音楽が聞けます。本当に音の世界を特別な方法で探るのです。楽器特有のものでもありますが、シャリーノの音楽は聞けばすぐに彼の音楽だとわかります。
とにかく来週がとても楽しみです！
